Recognize the use of adverbs in sentences

Some usages of adverbs make it possible to place the adverb in several locations in the sentence

Bob angrily yelled at the dog.

Bob yelled angrily at the dog.

Bob yelled at the dog angrily.

In other cases, there is only one location where the adverb can be placed in the sentence without dramatically altering its meaning.

I almost always get to work on time.

The difference is that the adverb in this sentence is modifying another adverb or adjective, and if it were to be located elsewhere in the sentence then the reader would not know what exactly almost refers to.

In this exercise, the student identifies the adverb in a sentence, then decides if it can be moved to another location in the sentence or not.

Public Beta Preview

This website is currently in the late stages of its development, a state referred to as beta. As with all beta software, it has some quirks and many parts are not yet available. We are working hard to finalize the system's structure, and roughly once every two weeks we roll out new functionality towards this goal. Until then you may notice that some resources move or even disappear for a while.
