Any list of great inventions will contain the telephone. This device allowed people to speak to each other over long distances for the first time. Although it was invented over a hundred years ago, everyone knows who did it. Alexander Graham Bell’s name will be forever linked with his invention. What few know, however, is that someone else might be the true inventor.

This is a historical passage about the events surrounding the invention of the telephone.
